my NANO for my EDUTAINMENT CORRIDOR..

at first, i dont really understand what is nano actually..

but, thanx to kak zura n alex for their explaination, i came to start thinking about what elements that i want to inteprate in my design of the corridor..

well, there are 2 nano that Ar Hong mentioned to me when i did my presentation..
  1. rebellious - this is the feeling that every teen has inside of him/her. yeah, at this moment, we want to do things with our own way plus we love to hang around with our friends. so, i would like to create a space for them to express their feelings and more or less give them a place to 'loiter' but in a healthy way.
  2. graffiti - at first, i only thought of the graffiti wall that the youngsters always did. but, thanx to Ar Hong for his thoughts, he 'challenged' me to create a virtual expression wall. the graffiti on the wall can be erased. that's quite a good idea..
i have no idea right now for my third nano..
adios~

edutainment corridor, the corridor for all..

EDUTAINMENT is combination word from 'education' + 'entertainment'..
  • education - something that we learn whether it's formal or informal..
  • entertainment - something that brings excitement, enjoyable, fun..
EDUTAINMENT...

- a form of entertainment designed to educate as well as to amuse
- uses a blend of core communication theories and fundamental entertainment pedagogy to guide the preparation of programming
- the act of learning through a medium that both educate and entertains
- any of various media, such as computer software, that educate and entertain
(from: www.wikipedia.org)

why i choose to propose edutainment corridor in Jalan Tun Abdul Razak?!

it is especially for the sake of school children after school hours..for all we know, there are studies show students nowadays like to loiter and this will give them negative effects to their lifestyle. They might get into drugs, social crime etc. - it will be the best place for students spend times with healthy activities.
to educate and at the same time entertain people with some activities provided along the corridor.
to mix the society from all different races and culture - to bond the people and create harmony lifestyle..
my ambition from this corridor is to educate and at the same time entertain people especially kids and teens as they will be the leader in the future.. they can learn new things that they might could not get from schools such as generic skills, the meaning of friendship, the healthy lifestyle etc..
for the adults, the corridor will somehow educate them even more about children and youth. nevertheless, this corridor will entertain them as it will remind them of old days of their 'rebellious' period..
and hopefully, by having this some kind of corridor the crime rate that involve youngsters will decrease as they have a secure place for them to learn and play..
not only that, the bond among different races in malaysia- malays, chinese, indians will be tighten..

if we do not educate our children about MUHIBAH starting from today, then when is the right time?
hope will only turns into hope if there is no action taken..
like wise people said,
TANPA USAHA, IMPIAN TIDAK AKAN MENJADI KENYATAAN..~
